Introducing New STURDI-STARTER

Cor-A-Vent, Inc. is proud to introduce the new Sturdi-Starter™ - a rugged polypropylene starter strip for use with composite or wood lap siding.

Sturdi-Starter is a 4-foot long x 1 ¼” wide x 5/16” thick (8 mm) profile extruded polypropylene plastic strip used as a starter strip behind the first course of siding. Sturdi-Starter replaces strips ripped from good planks of siding, saving the installer money and materials, time on the job and extra labor.

Like our Sturdi-Strip™ vertical furring strips, the Sturdi-Starter can be power-nailed or screwed on without crushing, compressing, or cracking. It can also be used in conjunction with Cor-A-Vent Siding Vents for rainscreen applications, as well.
